I’m kind of bummed that Kate Winslet and Sam Mendes are getting divorced – I’ve always liked her so much, and their marriage has lasted quite a while, by Hollywood standards.
I thought that maybe those two crazy kids would make it, and I hate that their impending divorce means that the paparazzi are stalking them while they pick up their kids from school. If the paps ever had any decency, they lost it long ago.
At the very least, however, it gives Kate an opportunity to set a good example – she and her soon-to-be ex-husband are able to be civil with each other and do things together for their children. In short, they’re able to act like adults, and that’s sadly absent from a lot of Hollywood breakups.
